Guide for schools

Everything you need to use H Spanish Academy in class: how to get started, instructions for your students and how we protect their data.

Get started in 5 steps

You create the class and your students join with a code. They don’t need an email address.

  1. Create your teacher account

    Sign up with your email at hspanishacademy.com/login. You’ll manage your classes from this account.

  2. Activate your school licence

    Request an offer with the button on this page. Once your school accepts it, we activate the Teacher Premium plan on your account and send you the data processing agreement (DPA).

  3. Create your class

    Go to “My classes” and click “Create class”. You’ll get a 6-character code (e.g. K7PM2Q) and an invitation link.

  4. Your students join

    Share the code or the link on the board, in your learning platform or on paper. Each student creates a school account with an alias and a password (instructions below).

  5. Share activities

    Open any activity or flashcard deck and click “Share with my class”. You can sort assignments into folders by topic.

How to join your Spanish class

  1. Open hspanishacademy.com/login (or the link your teacher gave you).
  2. If the cookie notice appears, click “Solo necesarias” (necessary only).
  3. Choose the “Class code” tab and enter the code:
  4. Choose an alias (3–30 characters: letters without accents, numbers, dot, hyphen or underscore). Don’t use your full name.
  5. Choose a password with at least 8 characters and click “Join the class”.

✍️ Write down your alias and password. If you forget it, your teacher can give you a new one.

Already have an H Spanish Academy account? Log in and join from “My classes” with the code.

What you can do in class

Activities A1–C2

Interactive exercises, lessons and readings with automatic marking, sorted by CEFR level.

Assignments in folders

Share activities with one or several classes at once and organise them by topic.

Flashcard decks

Create vocabulary lists of up to 300 words and send them to the whole class.

Progress tracking

See who has done each assignment, each student’s XP, their progress this week and their last day of study.

Weekly ranking

Motivate with an XP ranking. Students only see their own position, not other students’ points.

Class forum

A space for questions and announcements. You can switch it off for any class at any time.

Difficulty ratings

After completing an activity, students rate it from 1 to 10 and you see the class average.

Account management

Generate a new password if someone forgets theirs, remove students from the class or delete school accounts.

Per-assignment tracking, the class forum, difficulty ratings and the class photo are Teacher Premium features. With the school licence there is no limit on classes or students.

Data protection

H Spanish Academy is designed for use in German schools in line with the GDPR (DSGVO).

Servers in Germany

The website and database are hosted in a data centre in Frankfurt am Main (provider: Hostinger).

Data processing agreement

We sign a data processing agreement with your school under Art. 28 GDPR (AVV), including the full list of sub-processors.

Minimal data

School accounts only have an alias and a password: no email, no real name and no date of birth.

No ads, no tracking

For licensed teachers, their students and all school accounts, neither Google Analytics nor ads are loaded and there are no tracking cookies — only technically necessary ones.

What we store

Alias, encrypted password, learning progress (completed activities, XP, streak, medals), flashcards, difficulty ratings and forum messages. The server also keeps technical logs (e.g. IP address) for security.

Control and deletion

Teachers can delete school accounts with all their data at any time, for example at the end of the school year.

Frequently asked questions

Do students need an email address?

No. With the class code they create a school account with just an alias and a password.

Which devices does it work on?

Any up-to-date browser: computers, Chromebooks, tablets and phones. Nothing to install.

What if a student forgets their password?

In “My classes” you can generate a new one instantly. Students with an email address can reset it themselves.

What can students see about their classmates?

Their alias, their own position in the weekly ranking and forum messages. They can’t see other students’ points or progress.

What happens at the end of the school year?

You can delete the school accounts with all their data or keep them for the next year.

Can several teachers at a school use it?

Yes. Each teacher has their own account and classes, and the school licence can include several teachers.
